The Asian Congress on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery 2026 brought together oral and maxillofacial surgeons from across the region and around the world in Hong Kong this March.
IAOMS members and leaders were on stage, in sessions, and taking part in conversations that mattered.
Across the program, IAOMS was well represented by invited speakers and contributors, reflecting the organization’s role as a connector within the global specialty. What stood out was the scale of that presence. Surgeons from different regions, training pathways, and stages of practice showed up as part of a single, connected community.
That sense of connection carried beyond the lecture halls. Throughout the congress, IAOMS leaders and members gathered in moments both formal and informal, strengthening relationships that extend well beyond a single meeting. These interactions are where collaboration begins and where ideas move from concept to practice.
One of the clearest examples of IAOMS impact in action came through the IAOMS Foundation. Dr. Pengleang Cheang, recipient of the 2026 IAOMS Foundation TMJ Fellowship, was in attendance at ACOMS and connected in person with both IAOMS leadership and his future mentor.
