Dive Into the Lives of OMF Surgeons Around the World

IAOMS celebrates International Women’s Day and Women's History Month by recognizing the women shaping the future of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Across the global OMS community, surgeons are advancing patient care, research, education, and mentorship. Throughout March, FACE to FACE will highlight stories from women across the specialty and share video messages from colleagues around the world celebrating their contributions and impact.

This video is about a journey in a oral and maxillofacial surgery, reflecting on the challenges of entering a traditionally male-dominated field.

Featuring Daljit Dhariwal, oral maxillofacial surgeon at the John Radcliff Hospital in Oxford , and Julia Kubior who underwent surgery on her jaw. In the film Daljit and Julia discuss meeting, planning her surgery and the effect of the surgery on Julia's confidence.
