IAOMS members and leaders made a strong impact at ACOMS 2026 in Hong Kong, contributing as speakers, collaborators, and mentors across the program. Beyond the sessions, the congress created space for meaningful connections and real opportunities, including fellowship pathways that extend far beyond the event. From the stage to the exhibition floor, IAOMS was present, engaged, and actively advancing the global oral and maxillofacial surgery community.

In the edentulous maxilla, progressive bone resorption often results in an acquired Class III malocclusion, complicating prosthetic rehabilitation and implant positioning. The teeth-first approach addresses this challenge by first placing dental implants to define occlusion. This framework then serves as a reference for subsequent orthognathic surgery. This study of 75 FFF patients (202 sites) found that initial osteotomy gap width does not significantly impact long-term osseous union.
