My Reflections on ICOMS Singapore: A Thrilling Milestone for FACE to FACE and OMF Surgeons Around the World

Dear colleagues and friends around the world,

I returned from the spectacular ICOMS in breathtaking Singapore a few weeks ago where I was inspired and happy to be present with more than 2000 OMF surgeons from around the world. I am only now finding the time to write these reflections, after a few challenging weeks in my own country.

After a year of hard work behind the scenes, we presented the new FACE to FACE® platform to both the IAOMS Executive Committee and to the IAOMS Counselors representing our member countries. Sharing our vision for the future of FACE to FACE in these two important forums was both exciting and deeply inspiring.

The meeting itself was electric - a perfect blend of cutting-edge science, forward-thinking discussions, and vibrant social connections. It was incredible to reunite with so many dear friends and colleagues from around the world. The atmosphere was charged with energy and positivity.

Singapore shone as a true gem - a fascinating blend of cultures, warm and welcoming people, stunning places to explore, and unforgettable culinary experiences. The city provided the perfect backdrop for such an important gathering.

Presenting the ideas and innovations behind the new FACE to FACE was an emotional and proud moment for me. We shared our ambition to transform this platform into a true "home" for the IAOMS community worldwide - a space not only for professional updates and knowledge sharing, but also for genuine personal connection. We envision it as a hub where members can share, learn, meet, and grow together as one big, empowering community.

I would like to extend my deepest thanks to Jemilah Senter and the entire FACE to FACE editorial team for their tremendous hard work and dedication over the past year. Your efforts have been essential in shaping this exciting new chapter.
