My Story
Dr Patrishia Bordbar is the Immediate Past President of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (ANZAOMS) and currently serves on the IAOMS Executive Committee. She is a Consultant Surgeon at The Royal Children's Hospital and Western Hospital in Melbourne. She holds honorary positions at The University of Melbourne.
In addition to her specialist training, she has undertaken a further Fellowship training in Paediatric Craniofacial Surgery in the UK. She has been an examiner of OMS trainees for a decade, through the RACDS. Dr Bordbar is dedicated to training and mentoring the next generation in her various roles. In 2020, she formally established the Epworth/Monash Cranio-Maxillofacial Fellowship programme and chairs this Fellowship. Dr Bordbar has a special interest in treating patients with paediatric congenital cleft and craniofacial deformities, trauma, and orthognathic surgery. She has been an early adopter of technology in this space. She has published on implications of policy changes and funding of CMF technologies in Australia and contributed significantly to the recent Prosthesis List Reforms in Australia.
