FACE to FACE™ Community Guidelines
Welcome to FACE to FACE, the digital hub of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS), where oral and maxillofacial professionals around the world share knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. To maintain a respectful, enriching, and inclusive environment, we ask all users—whether you are contributing content or engaging through comments and reactions—to follow these simple but essential community guidelines.
1. Be Respectful and Professional
This is a space for professional dialogue. Disagreeing is fine—disrespect is not. Comments or content that include personal attacks, inflammatory language, or discriminatory remarks will not be tolerated.
2. Keep It Constructive
Whether you’re providing feedback on a case study or responding to a comment thread, aim to be helpful and thoughtful. Ask questions, offer ideas, and support collaborative learning.
3. Share Responsibly
Contributors are expected to share original content or properly attribute sources when referencing external material. Do not post confidential patient information or violate HIPAA or other data privacy regulations.
4. Stay On Topic
This is a space dedicated to advancing the practice and profession of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Please keep comments and content relevant to the specialty and avoid unrelated or promotional posts.
5. Celebrate Global Perspectives
IAOMS is a global organization, and FACE to FACE reflects that. Please approach differences in training, terminology, and treatment philosophies with curiosity and openness.
6. No Spam or Self-Promotion
FACE to FACE is not a place for marketing products or services. Promotional content or repeated links to external sites that are unrelated to the discussion will be removed.
7. Report Inappropriate Content
If you see something concerning or out of alignment with these guidelines, please report it to the IAOMS team. We’re committed to keeping FACE to FACE a safe and professional space for all users.
